This was how early December looked like last year with plenty of snow and very low temperatures. These images did not change much until January 2012. I am going to try to give up to date pictures and weather data from here just outside Durham city, hopefully on a daily basis throughout this winter and this will be displayed below these photos.
Starting to turn colder than the last few days but no real sign of snow yet but I don't think it will be too long the North Atlantic Ocillation is starting to go negative so hopefully a white Christmas.

Following the bad winter we had in 2009/2010 I decided that for this up and coming winter I would have a 4X4 so that we could get out and about with ease and safety so this is what I have just bought a Land Rover Discovery TD5.
